Zero Downtime Despite a Failing HMI
American Electric Power (AEP) was in need of a replacement for an HMI located in an outdoor gas turbine. These particular HMIs are responsible for monitoring the comfort of the control room.
The failing HMI led AEP to reach out to Midwest Engineering for assistance. A replacement was quoted and Midwest provided AEP with (3) Parker Xpress HMIs.
Midwest Engineering strives to provide customers with service and solutions that promote productivity and efficiency. For AEP, the cost and the amount of down time were both factors of high importance in resolving this problem.
The solution proposed by Midwest was cost efficient, as it was third of the cost that a large automation supplier would charge. Additionally, Midwest managed to avoid any downtime experience by AEP as the installation service was completed over two Saturdays.
Midwest Engineering is able to provide solutions that best serve the needs of customers because of the experience, knowledge, and resources within the company. But above all, the Midwest team takes the time to fully understand each unique project in order to customize solutions accordingly.
